DECEMBER 2013

In December 2013 twenty primary and secondary teachers attended Professional Development in ‘Effective Methodologies and Active Learning’. TANZEED worked with teachers at St Judes’ School in Arusha to develop a dynamic and relevant program to suit the attendees’ needs.

Most of the teachers who attended the three day workshop came from SOS Children’s Village School, also based in Arusha. The St Jude teachers were very generous in volunteering their time and expertise. A big thanks must also go to St Judes School for enabling this professional development to take place on campus.

Workshop sessions included topics that enabled teachers to develop lesson plans that would be both interactive and relevant to the needs of their students.

JANUARY 2020

TANZEED TEACHER TRAINING WORKSHOPS

2 Adelaide based high school teachers and TANZEED committee members, Adam Burford and Gary Haryes headed to Tanzania in Jan 2020 to conduct teacher training workshops at Emusoi and provided resources on resilience.

This was greatly valued by staff who will roll out the program to local students.
